Sign for my local primary school

Takari: Our children are the nation’s tomorrow. Takari means ‘tomorrow’ in one of the local Aboriginal languages. It is not lost on me that I went to a primary school that defined its students in terms of being a relation of futurity. It explains a lot. I like the crazy 1970/1980s iconography of the ‘Takari’ and three concentric semi-circles. For me it looks like a smiley face, half a vortex and ripples in a pond. Very cool.

  1. My father in law Theo Joel was the headmaster of Takari in the 70’s and 80’s. Theo will celebrate his 90th Birthday on 20th October 2012.
