This is where I was a Cub Scout for about 4 years. Every week I would go down here in my uniform and learn about the art and craft of Scouts. It was an extremely good way of learning how to be part of a productive group of people. It was sometimes fun. I rarely had fun per se as a child. Most of the time I was trying to figure out why we did the things we did. It didn’t make much sense to me, all the ritualised practices in themselves. I always thought there must be some other reason why we did the things we did the things we were meant to do.
