postmodernism is dead? Wrong bet

February 01, 2009 By: glen Category: Film, Popular Culture

For those worried about the passing of postmodernism, do not fear, you have a new fighter in your corner: Jean-Claude Van Damme. Van Damme stars in a delightful and surprisingly sophisticated film that examines the double fist blurring of (real) cinema and (cinematic representations of) real life.

Now those teaching a course on postmodernism will finally have their first new text in over a decade! Perhaps it was always going to be this way. Pomo left to the action movie stars?

UPDATE 08/02/09: Steve Shaviro also liked it.
